Progress update on our community food growing scheme

Over the weekend, with lots of help from a group of local friends and a rotavator lent to us by our lovely neighbour Mike, we started to create the 8m x 18m growing area for our new scheme. The rotavator was older than most of us but it did a great job. With the earth exposed we also did some metal detecting with young people from the village.

It’s ready to get the next stage started which is a little more raking and planting the first seeds.

Join us this Sunday at Newhouse Farm if you are a member of the Tywardreath Gardening Club between 10am -12pm to lend us a hand.
