Contracts exchanged on the shop

We are very relieved and happy the legal process is finalised!

Signing the sale contract

Trudy and Josh signing the sale contract at our solicitors Charles French & Co.

Now we can get back to doing what we do best – collaborating with people and using our entrepreneurial experience to make a difference to our community.

First time in over 50 years that our village shop will have new owners!

It’s a new beginning for a very established and valuable local business. Many things will stay the same but there are lots of new changes ahead, from stocking more fresh, chilled and local produce ranges. With longer opening hours, a cash machine and card payment facilities.

We need your help to top up the community fund to complete the sale

Tom Larkin the new shop manager was with us all the way, he even came to witness the contract signing.

Before we can take over running the shop we need to raise the shortfall of funds to finalise the purchase, which we are confident we can do within a few weeks. Tom Larkin the new shop manager wants to be in the shop by mid September at the latest.

Get involved as hundreds of local people have done already by lending a peer to peer loan (from £50-£50,000) to save our village shop and inspire an entrepreneurial future for Tywardreath.

In return you will get 6% annual interest and repaid in 2 years.  Plus free membership to our community buying group for 2 years.  You will also be the first to be able to buy shares in this business when we are ready to issue them.

All the info you need to make a pledge is here or please send us an email confirming your contact details and the amount you want to lend.

Call us on 01726 339540, or visit us at Newhouse Farm, Priory Lane, Tywardreath PL24 2QF.
